Traditionally, most water heaters in the home are tank type water heaters. The most typical types are gas (natural or LP) or electric (240V). Typical sizes include, but are not limited to 40 gallon, 50 gallon, and 75 gallon. Due to space constraints there are also some common types of electric heaters known as “shorts” or “low boys” which are shorter than the standard 50 gallon.

Please note that the manufacturer refers to these models as “Commercial Grade.” These models are for residential applications but are made with higher-quality parts. These do not cost more and there is not a “residential only” option. Click pictures for more information.
